Handster is acquired by Opera Software in September 2011

Handster is an Application Store solution company offering a white label platform and a branded Application Store (Handster.com). The platform supports Google Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile and Java applications. Smart phone users can access the store via a website, mobile web and an on-device client.

Handster has 3 main business lines:

Handster white label Application Store platform allows handset manufacturers, distributors, and carriers to receive revenue share from their Application Store sales. It is designed to provide seamless shopping experience and predictive app discoverability. As payment methods the Company supports major Credit Cards, PayPal, Webmoney, and carrier billing in select countries. Billing is supported in several currencies. Handster enables multiple pricing methods (free, trial, paid, subscriptions) and the most popular DRM mechanisms.
